Miss Rodeo For A Reason Pageant

FORT WORTH, Texas – The Miss Rodeo For A Reason pageant, a unique leadership development program, is excited to announce their upcoming event dates.

The pageant is open to all cowgirls between the ages of 14-24 who share a passion for rodeo, regardless of their experience level or financial means.

The first round of the pageant will take place virtually on April 29-30, 2023, with online entries open now until midnight on April 28, 2023.

The top 10 qualifiers will then compete in-person in Fort Worth, Texas, during the Women’s Championship Rodeo on May 18-20, 2023.

Celebrity coaches, including award-winning filmmaker and best-selling author Filipe Masseti, WPRA barrel racer and CEO of The Bijoux Fab Pascale Sylvain, and social media influencer “The Courtroom Cowgirl” Stephanie Griffey, Myke Holt, Sr. Director of Development Texas A&M University School of Law, Pageant Founder, Kendra Dickson & others will provide guidance and support throughout the program.

“We understand that pageants can be intimidating and stressful, especially for girls who may feel like they don’t fit in,” said a spokesperson for Miss Rodeo For A Reason. “That’s why we’ve created a program that is more focused on leadership development than traditional pageantry. Our coaches are here to teach our contestants how to feel confident as public speakers and online communicators, advise them on current western fashion and rodeo events, and provide guidance on a range of topics that can help them excel both in and out of the arena.”

Contestants will score each other and ultimately decide who the winner is, ensuring that the pageant is fair and transparent. Prizes include a buckle, custom crown by Randy Oliver, scholarship, Cactus Extreme Gel Pad, and Lagniappe Bit, as well as the chance to be on the new TV show Women’s Western Sports Roundup.

“We’re excited to offer this unique opportunity to cowgirls who share our love for rodeo and our commitment to leadership development,” Myke Holt. “We encourage anyone who is interested in participating to visit the website and submit an entry today.”
